The EIB Climate Survey focuses on citizens' perceptions and concerns about climate change, and this time concentrated on 13 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean region. Over 10,000 citizens in total were polled in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru, Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela, and Panama.
As we progress towards a sustainable future, the survey's
findings bear critical importance for policy choices. They not only capture the
regional sentiment, but also provide in-depth data for each of the 13
countries, offering a detailed and nuanced view of the region.
Stay tuned for insights on the substantial impact of
climate change on daily life, a prevailing endorsement for more stringent
pro-climate mandates, perspectives regarding relocations prompted by climate
pressures, and the strong advocacy for investments in renewable energy.
